About
InsomniacKnits started as a hobby for Founder Melissa Kho Yeaman as she anxiously awaited the birth of her first child in 2014. Unable to sleep due to the discomforts of pregnancy, Melissa spent countless nights stitching as a relaxation therapy.
After the birth of her daughter and wanting to provide more for her family, Melissa initially decided to sell small and quick knitting projects. However, her need for perfection and all knowledge relating to her craft, led her through a 4 year journey of research, practice and self-discovery.
As Melissa’s repertoire expanded, InsomniacKnits evolved from a knitwear design company into a DIY lifestyle brand offering self-designed knitting and crochet patterns, hand-dyed yarn, stylish, functional accessories, as well as tutorials and delicious recipes.
